1. Who can use Efeplug
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
- You must be 18 or older to use Dating, the Wallet, Invest, to sell in the Store, or to post jobs or services.
- You may not use Efeplug if we have closed your account before, or if the law where you live does not allow it.
2. Your account
- Give your real name and your own phone number and email. Don’t pretend to be someone else, a brand, or Efeplug.
- Keep your password and payment PIN secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- Your username can be changed, but we may take back names that copy other people, brands or official titles.
3. What you must not do
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it: fraud, scams, fake payments, money laundering, selling illegal or stolen goods.
- Harass, threaten, bully or impersonate people; share someone’s private information or intimate images without consent.
- Post sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any content that exploits children. We report this to the authorities.
- Post hate speech, violent threats, or content that encourages self-harm.
- Send spam, bulk unwanted messages, or fake reviews; use bots or scripts without our permission.
- Try to break, overload, or get around Efeplug’s security or limits.
4. What you post
You own what you post (messages, photos, videos, statuses, channel posts, listings). You give Efeplug permission to store, show and deliver it to the people you choose, only to run the service. Statuses disappear after 24 hours unless you delete them sooner. Content you post in public places (channels, public statuses, the Store, Jobs, Services, Dating, comments) can be seen by others and reviewed by our moderators.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If you think we got it wrong, contact us and we will look again.
5. Store, Jobs and Services
- Efeplug is a platform that connects buyers and sellers, employers and job seekers, and customers and service providers. We are not the seller, employer or provider.
- Sellers must describe items honestly, deliver what was paid for, and follow the law. Pay only through Efeplug checkout: Efeplug holds the payment until the order is completed, which protects you. We can’t protect payments made outside Efeplug.
- Never pay to get a job. Job posts that ask applicants for money are not allowed.
- Efeplug takes a service fee on store sales, shown before you list.
6. Dating
Dating is for adults (18+). Be respectful, use real recent photos of yourself, and meet in public places. Report anyone who behaves badly; we can remove them. We don’t run background checks on members.
7. Wallet and payments
- Money is added and withdrawn through our licensed payment partners (Paystack and Korapay). Efeplug is not a bank, and wallet balances do not earn interest (except in Invest, below).
- Transfers and payments to other people are final once sent. Check the name before you confirm.
- Withdrawals to your bank are usually paid within 3 hours, but can take longer (for example on public holidays or if a payment partner is slow).
- We may set limits, ask you to confirm your identity, or hold a transaction we believe is fraudulent or unlawful, and we may be required to report it.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
8. Invest
Invest pays interest at a yearly rate shown in the app, worked out daily. The rate can change; the rate shown when interest is added is the one that applies. Money can be moved back to your wallet on working days (Monday to Friday) at least 24 hours after it was added. Invest is offered at Efeplug’s discretion and may be paused or ended; if so, your balance and earned interest are returned to your wallet. Only put in money you can afford to set aside.
9. Paid extras
Verified badges and promotions (for statuses, stores, services and jobs) are paid for the period shown when you buy them. A verified badge confirms we checked an identity; it is not an endorsement. We may remove a badge or stop a promotion that breaks these terms.
10. Efeplug AI
Efeplug AI can chat, make and edit pictures, read documents and photos, and turn speech into text. AI can be wrong: don’t rely on it for medical, legal or money decisions. Don’t use it to create sexual images or to edit photos of children, or photos of people without their consent. Pictures made with Efeplug AI can be reviewed by our moderators.
11. Calls and messages
Calls and messages need an internet connection and are not a replacement for emergency services. Efeplug can’t be used to call emergency numbers.
12. Changes and ending
We improve Efeplug all the time and may change or stop features. If we change these terms in an important way we will tell you in the app first. You can stop using Efeplug at any time and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy). Money in your wallet stays yours: withdraw it first, or ask us to pay it out.
13. Liability
We work hard to keep Efeplug running and safe, but it is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by other users, by things outside our control, or by indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please contact us first so we can try to fix any problem; if we can’t, disputes go to the courts of Nigeria.
